The Sven-Saw® is exceptionally durable and typically lasts for decades. We want to keep every Sven-Saw in use for as long as possible. If you have done something you regret, that damages your saw, we would rather have you replace the damaged part than sell you a whole new saw. It’s not the best way for a business to make money, but it fits our values.
What we call the Backbar is the long, silver piece that conceals the blade when the saw is collapsed. If you need a new one, please choose the correct size below. Then please recycle the old backbar – it’s 100% recyclable aluminum.
The backbar for the 15″ saw is 14.75″ long.
The backbar for the 21″ saw is 20.5″ long. (It is listed as 21.75″ below because we ship it in a package that is just under 22″ so as to help you avoid the $4 surcharge from USPS for long items.)
